SITUATION​


Glenborrodale Castle occupies a magnificent position on the southern shores of the stunning Ardnamurchan Peninsula, offering spectacular views across Loch Sunart to the Morvern Hills beyond. More extensive services can be found in Fort William (40 miles), which has a daily train service to Glasgow and a sleeper service to London Euston.


The Ardgour ferry terminal (Corran ferry) is 31 miles away, providing swift access to Fort William, Glasgow (132 miles), Edinburgh (157 miles), and Oban Airport (61 miles). The ferry at Kilchoan (13 miles) offers a regular summer service to Tobermory (35-minute journey). Inner Hebridean islands are accessible within 15 minutes by rib.


The area provides exceptional opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts with fishing, sailing, mountain biking, kayaking, and whale watching all available nearby. THE CASTLE​


This impressive A-listed Castle, dating from 1902, is a magnificent Scots Baronial mansion built of red Dumfriesshire sandstone. It sits in a prominent position against the hillside close to the shores of Loch Sunart with spectacular views across the water to the islands of Risga, Carna and Oronsay and the Morvern Hills beyond.


The castle is approached via a private driveway with stone pillars and wrought iron gates. Passing the Gate Lodge, the driveway leads to a parking area at the front and side.


GROUND FLOOR​


A double arch and glazed entrance doors lead to a vestibule with marble flooring, original oak panelling, ornate cornicing, and arched windows. An inner hall provides access to an office, ladies' and gents' toilets, and through to the Bruce (1) and McDuff (2) bedroom suites. A further inner hall leads to the Burns (3) suite. There is also a hardwood, double-glazed garden conservatory with a tiled floor and French doors leading to the garden.


FIRST FLOOR​


A feature staircase with marble steps leads from the entrance hall to the first floor. A focal point of the gallery hall is the original fireplace and canopy. The ceiling is barrel vaulted with wood panelling on the walls.


The four principal reception rooms are on this floor:
